Claire Crawley, Benoit Beauséjour-Savard All done.
One couple the Bachelor nation rooted for from start to finish was Claire Crawley and Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, who met on The Bachelor in 2018: they met at the Winter Games and eventually got engaged. After two stints on Juan Pablo (open in new tab) and Paradise, Crawley deserved great love and Beauséjour-Savard wanted to be it; the fact that they didn't get along was heartbreaking, if not entirely unexpected They had a bumpy road even before they got engaged - and now that Crawley is the next Bachelorette, (opens in new tab) Beauséjour-Savard, a genuinely sweet man who seems to want what is best for her, says he is happy for Crawley. Shall we take a walk down memory lane with these two?
It was a classic love story: boy and girl meet while staying at the same lodge, competing (badly) in winter sports; boy likes girl, girl likes boy, girl falls for someone else and fights with that person about a spa date she never showed up for They get into a fight; boy runs away from the lodge in tears. Okay, a bit unorthodox, but who among us hasn't experienced that...?
Okay, back to the beginning. Canadian "Bachelor" contestants Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard met at the 2018 Bachelor: Winter Games, where contestants from multiple countries came together to compete in winter sports. (You may wonder, but the competition itself was laughably awful. Really, really bad.) They hit it off, flirted, and all was going well until Crowley developed a crush on Christian Rauch, who appeared on the German and later Swiss shows. Then Rauch asked Crawley to meet him in the hot tub, and she misunderstood. Let me quote: "I don't know how it is in the U.S., but in Germany, if I say I'm going in the Jacuzzi, it's a date!" .
At this point, Beauséjour-Savard began to realize that maybe she was not Crawley's first choice. Beauséjour-Savard began to realize at this point that maybe she was not Crowley's first choice. She was not on board, so they parted emotionally and he left the lodge.
He posted a very sweet caption: "Congrats on this gem! She will be a wonderful Bachelorette. She's smart, fun, strong, knows what she wants, and most importantly, she will call out the guys who are messing around!" ! So there you have it! Good luck on your journey to find love! @clarecrawley (opens in new tab) ! Will you be the best? #thebestbacheloretteever (opens in new tab)"
I mean, talk about ex-fiancee goals. Yes, I said ex-fiancee...
Yes! When Crawley and Rauch didn't work out, she reunited with Beauséjour-Savard outside the program and he proposed on After the Final Rose. It was very, very sweet.
But. Only two months later .......
Too bad! In April, two months after their engagement, they parted ways. Crowley wrote on Instagram: "It is with a heavy heart that we have mutually decided to end our relationship. We cared very much for each other and wanted things to work out. I'm sorry this may not be what you want to hear, but this is the truth about us. Just know that there is no negativity here, we are simply two people who believed in love and were open enough to give it a chance."
Beauséjour-Savard then appeared in Bachelor in Paradise. He ended up not getting along with anyone and left in the third week. From his Instagram, it does not appear that he is currently in a relationship, but he has posted many pictures with his dog.
