Tried Hanacure, the K-beauty mask that celebrities are crazy about.

Imagine if all the serums, creams, and treatments in your medicine cabinet were bottled into one powerful anti-aging product (open in new tab).

This all-in-one treatment is designed to address multiple signs of aging, from wrinkles to pigmentation to loss of elasticity, and hopes to shrink the skin routine of any woman.

It's clear from the brand's addictive Instagram testimonial page that #HanacureEffect is the real deal; here's everything you need to know about K-Beauty's darling:

The brand's website is a great resource for women who want to learn more about the brand and its products.

Simply put, the all-in-one facial is a gel mask. Inspired by the lotus flower, a symbol of rebirth and purity (opening with a new tab) in Asian culture, the founders set out to develop a product with similar regenerative and rejuvenating properties After three years of development, Hanacure was launched in January 2018 and is more effective and efficient than other skin care systems The product promised to be the most effective and efficient skincare system in the world. It provides visible age-reversing results with just one application per week for four weeks.

So why address multiple skin concerns at once in just 30 minutes? It's all thanks to patented technology. It consists of two steps: a lifting serum and a gelling solution. The two are mixed before use to produce an ingredient called a purifying compound. This compound is made up of a potent blend of peptides and plant extracts that soothes, brightens, and moisturizes irritation. When applied, it fuses with carbon dioxide from the air to form Hanacure's state-of-the-art CO2 Octolift Technology. This causes the formula to solidify on the skin, creating an intense tightening effect, while at the same time absorbing all the dirt and toxins in the pores.

Now, this product has sold out every month since its debut and has gained a loyal following of celebrities, models, and ordinary women alike. Despite the fact that it's seriously freaky to take a selfie with it on, the A-list can't get enough of it:

Between the Kardashians' support and scrolling through the before-and-afters (I kept thinking that it couldn't really be the same person in the photos), I I knew I had to try Hanacure for myself. When the package finally arrived in the mail, it contained four sets of two-step solutions and a small brush for application.

After washing and drying my face well, it was time to formulate. The foil from the gelatinized solution package was peeled off (be careful not to peel it all off), and the lifting serum was poured in. The foil then covered the solution and the container was shaken vigorously for 20 seconds. Then, with a small brush, the solution was applied evenly to the face, neck, and hands (avoiding the eyes and lips).

The consistency of the gel was clear, and after using it I looked more or less like a glistening donut. The instructions warned that a tingling, pulling sensation would occur within 10 minutes of application.

Sure enough, the formula began to harden on my skin. I knew it would tighten, but I did not expect such intensity from a household mask. My entire face literally froze, making it impossible for me to talk, let alone finish my Sunday night glass of wine.

My husband, who is usually unfazed by my beauty experiments, watched in horror as I slowly transformed into the Stonemen from Game of Thrones. My complexion even began to crack, as if grayscale had taken over my body. Despite becoming uglier than I had ever seen in my life, I couldn't stop checking myself in the mirror: I was absolutely fascinated by what was happening to my skin.

After what seemed like an eternity (read: only the recommended 30 minutes for the mask to take effect), my wait was over. I returned to the bathroom and slowly rinsed off the gel mask. It was painless and easily peeled off.

A product with such a buzz must have critics with very strong opinions. Here are my thoughts:

Pros:

- Immediate results.

- Each set comes with 4 masks, which makes the price a little more reasonable.

- Used once a month, once a week, it reduces the appearance of pores, pigmentation, and wrinkles.

Cons:

- Not the most comfortable to wear.

- Cost more than regular K-beauty products.

- May leave redness, blotchiness, or irritation when removed on sensitive skin.

- Of course. When I looked at my complexion after the treatment, I seriously had never looked better: my cheeks and chin were tighter, my skin tone was more even, my texture was softer, and I had a glow that seemed to light up from within that you can't get from a typical at-home treatment. (If you're not convinced, there is a $29 starter kit you can try.) Suffice it to say, I'm on board with the Hanacure craze.
