Priyanka Chopra Jonas (opens in new tab), who graces Marie Claire's Spring 2021 cover, as a child lent books to neighborhood kids and managed them like a librarian. As seen in the latest episode of Marie Claire's Shelf Portrait (opens in new tab), where celebrities, influencers, and famous bookworms are invited to her home to show off their personal libraries, her book collection, which is being filmed in London today, looks a little It looks different.

Chopra Jonas brought some of her favorite books with her while on location and purchased several new ones. Her top picks include Aravind Adiga's Amnesty (opens in new tab) (Adiga is also the author of Chopra Jonas' upcoming film, The White Tiger) and Yar Jassi's Homegoing (opens in new tab). I also love Michelle Obama's "Becoming" (opens in new tab), Jawaharlal Nehru's "Letters from a Father to His Daughter" (opens in new tab), and J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (opens in new tab). Her all-time favorite book cover is "Watchmen" (opens in new tab) (she is a big fan of graphic novels), and her favorite novel admirer is Archie Andrews of Archie Comics (!) .

If you belong to a book club, Chopra Jonas recommends her forthcoming memoir, Unfinished (opens in new tab) (February 9), for your next read. She says writing the book was "daunting, but exhilarating at the same time," and she has a newfound respect for all the writers she loves and admires.
