Academy Award winner and timeless beauty icon Nicole Kidman has been changing her strands for decades and inspiring us with salon reference photos. Red (opens in new tab)! Layers (opens in new tab)! High pony (opens in new tab)! Well, it looks like she's done it again. It's a more dramatic hair transformation than ever before.

We've seen a ton of pixie from celebs lately, but this feels like some major inspiration for a transitional 'do. So we named this style "Pixie: Extended Cut." Instead of trimming her hair around her temples like the standard style, Kidman has added tapered tresses around her ears to completely soften the look. Reminiscent of Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell in "Hook" (open in new tab), she is the original pixie.

But this look may not last. It may just be a wig for a new role in "Roar," which ended last week. The Apple TV+ anthology series (opens in new tab) of female-led stories is from Glow creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, with Kidman, Alison Brie (opens in new tab), and Cynthia Erivo (opens in new tab), Merritt Weber, and a stellar cast that includes.
