Five months after a captivating second season, Netflix is giving social media savvy and skeptics (and both) a new episode of The Circle. (Opens in new tab) Season 3 of the reality competition (opens in new tab) premiered on September 8, with the streaming company delivering four episodes at a time. The show continues its binge/weekly hybrid release schedule, which gives viewers the opportunity to discuss the competition throughout the month of September.

For those new to The Circle, the social media competition brings together people from all walks of life, from IRL influencers and celebrities to students and office workers, and segregates them into their own apartments. At the end of the game, the player who avoids being blocked and achieves the highest ranking wins $100,000.

So what are the plans for the release of "The Circle" Season 2?

Season 3 is expected to have more drama, as the gameplay is more strategic, with players doing their best to win each season. It will also be interesting to see who will take the crown this year, Catfish or the real thing, as Season 1's Joey and Season 2's Trevor aka Deresa are tied for the lead. This season, the real or the fake will likely be the deciding factor.
