Olivia Rodrigo may only be 18, but she knows a thing or two about making a stunning statement at award shows, and the red carpet for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (opens in new tab) seemed to be no exception. The High School Musical, Musical: The Series star and singer showed up to the pre-show in Brooklyn, New York, wearing a hot pink and orange ombre gown by Atelier Versace.

The gown was an ode to classic red carpet looks of the past, featuring a shirred corset bodice and fitted satin skirt. The dress was originally presented as part of Versace's Spring/Summer 2001 runway collection, consistent with Rodrigo's penchant for wearing items inspired by early afternoons. In keeping with the theme, Rodrigo accessorized with hot pink drop earrings adorned with oversized butterflies.

Olvia is nominated for five awards tonight and has already won the iconic "Push Performance Of The Year" moonman on the red carpet. She is also nominated for Best New Artist, Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year for "Driver's License" and Best Pop Song for "Good 4 U." Check out her full look below.
