Maisie Williams looks stunning on the Met Gala red carpet

Former "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams (opens in new tab) is absolutely stunning at the 2021 Met Gala. Looking like a high-fashion Wednesday Addams from "The Addams Family" (which she says was actually inspired by "The Matrix"), she spoke to E! News about her graphic, gothic, sustainable (opens in new tab) all-black She explained the inspiration behind the look.

She explained that her outfit was designed by her boyfriend Ruben Selby (open in new tab) and was inspired by "The Matrix" (just in time for the release of the film's latest trailer (open in new tab), which is impeccable). She also talked about what it meant to be a part of this event: "I grew up watching American icons ...... The women in the movies: ...... It shaped the woman I am," she explained.

Williams has been blonde (leaving her eyebrows) since April 2021, when she became WWF's new Global Ambassador for Climate and Conservation (opens in new tab). Her hair matches the waves of her dress, and she actually wears platform shoes with stirrup tights. It took her two hours to put her hair together!

Boyfriend Ruben Selby (co-founder of the model agency) spoke about the look on Instagram (opens in new tab):

"Maisie and I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time in August 2019, and the collection and exhibition "Camp " We were deeply inspired by: notes on fashion "...little did we know that two years later we would see one of our pieces on the red carpet."

The look was completed by a "team of five," both in the design and production of the dress, train, and full bodysuit. They told Maisie, "Thank you for your trust, support, and creativity. It takes courage to be yourself."

Here's a look from a different angle:

Amazing.
