Chloe Receives B Corp Certification

Chloé joins Patagonia, Eileen Fisher, Allbirds, and others in B Corp certification. Renowned French fashion house Chloé is the first European luxury brand to achieve this certification.

B Lab, a non-profit organization that grants B Corp certification, evaluates companies on more than 300 questions and examines all aspects of their social and environmental impact, including their relationship with their employees and their impact on the planet. It evaluates companies in all sectors, not just apparel (just one of the 150 industries B Lab works with).

Over the past 18 months, Chloé, part of Richemont, has established a sustainability committee, strengthened its partnership with the World Fair Trade Organization, and incorporated low-impact materials into its latest collection. The brand's Creative Director, Gabriela Hirst, was unveiled in December 2020 and has since driven the brand to reach higher environmental and equity goals based on her personal values.

"We have a strong belief that we need to be fully accountable for our impact on people and the planet. We infuse purpose into everything we do, transform the way we do business, and actively participate in building a better world, and B Corporation provides us with a powerful framework to accelerate and guide this transformation. We are proud of this achievement and grateful to the many people within our company who have worked hard over the past 18 months to make this happen. By becoming a B Corp today, we reinforce our commitment to continually challenge ourselves to use our brand and business as a force for good," said CEO Riccardo Bellini.
