So it is fitting that the actress, along with her sisters Carla and Chloe, launched the prosecco brand Della Vite (opens in new tab). The brand aims to bring a chicness that has been missing in the world of alcohol.
"Prosecco is a bit notorious and not as loved as we really deserve," Delevigne explained to Marie Claire.
This sustainable vegan brand touts sisterhood as one of its pillars. 'Ever since I can remember, my sisters and I have always wanted to do business together. We wanted to spend more time together. No matter how close we are, we each come from very different walks of life. There were times when I thought it would be hard to run a business with my sisters. But thankfully, that hasn't happened yet."
[6 [Poppy's closet is lined with vintage Pucci and Chloe."For ages, we were always stealing each other's clothes, and I remember when I would look on Facebook and see Kara wearing my favorite jeans or busting each other out in our favorite items. When we would go on vacation together, we would wear each other's clothes and people would always say, "Why didn't you ask me before you borrowed it?" They would always say, "Why didn't you ask me before you borrowed it?
Here, the 35-year-old British native shares her favorite brands, her morning routine, and the Hollywood icons that inspire her red carpet looks.
Eclectic. Whimsical. Out of control. Bonkers. All over the place. Sometimes wakes up in the morning and wants to float around in a ball gown. I tend to like colorful and sparkly things. But at the same time, there is nothing I love more than a beautifully tailored suit.
I'm getting ready for a movie and I'm up with the birds. I try not to look at my cell phone for the first hour. I meditate; I'm obsessed with the Calm app and use it as long as I can. I always start my day with homemade kombucha. I also like to go for walks and do yoga. You rarely see me in this mode. When I'm getting ready for a movie, I call it "stealth mode."
I am not organized. I always leave getting dressed until the last minute, so it's always chaos. It's always like a tornado in my house, so many clothes floating in the air. A lot of clothes are floating in the air. I like to dress spontaneously, just in the mood of the moment.
[The movie I'm prepping now] is set in London in the 60s and 70s, so at the moment I have a lot of 60s and 70s stuff in my wardrobe. Today I'm wearing flared denim [opens in new tab], which I've been wearing for a while now.
I work with the amazing Elizabeth Saltzman. We do fittings at least a week in advance. She always goes for Old Hollywood glamour for me. She loves to dress me in baby pinks, mint greens, and canary yellows. We are very inspired by Grace Kelly in Thief of Gold. [21] [22] When I have meetings for "Della Vite" (open in new tab), I go to see the sommelier and work in the press. When acting on set, comfort is everything. Even if it's August, I always wear tons of jumpers (opens in new tab) and big comfy socks. When I was modeling, I wanted everyone to think I was tall, and now that I'm an actress, I want people to think I'm short. If I'm auditioning for a period piece, I'll wear something like a vintage lace blouse. [because] in an audition, they only take pictures of your upper body.
I buy vintage a lot. There are a few stores in London like Rellik. I also love brands like Reformation, Stella McCartney, Nobody's Child, and others that are conscious of sustainability (open with a new tab). My favorite vintage piece right now is a Pucci dress I bought when I was 17. It's very Twiggy-ish. It makes me smile every time I wear it.
I also rent much of my wardrobe. I think renting is a great way to continue to be sustainable.
Jumper. I am a huge Elder Statesman freak. I have more Elder Statesmen in my cupboard than anything else. I love Bella Freud. I love Bamford; I love my CELINE jumper with the big neck. I love anything that is big and cushy and wraps me up and makes me feel like I'm in a cocoon.
I wear my engagement ring every day. I love the jewelry my mom and grandma give me. Misoma is one of my favorite jewelry brands, and I love hoops from Medjuri and Jennifer Fisher. I also love Sophie Ris and Venikis by Eugenie Niarchos. I am a Taurus, so I have a small bull necklace by Ara Vartanian that I wear all the time. I also have a Roxanne First necklace with my name on it that I wear every day. On one ear is a crescent moon and on the other is a rose quartz heart earring.
When I feel most feminine, that's when I feel most powerful. When I wear beautiful gowns and dresses like Miu Miu, Chloe, Prada, and Chanel. Something that sparkles and shines and makes me feel like a princess, even if it sounds cheesy. Then you feel like you can own the room, and you feel confident that you have taken the time to dress up and put in the effort. So I can sashay into a room and feel like I'm in control
