Netflix's latest hit drama is not strictly a true story. Philly comedian Kid is fresh off a superhero movie. After a wild night with his estranged brother and old friends, Kid wakes up next to a dead woman. True Story" is his second dramatic role in a Netflix project, after the film "Fatherhood."

Kidd's brother Carlton is involved in dodgy business dealings, including a deal with the Mafia. Her latest film is the action movie Without Remorse, opposite Michael B. Jordan.

Gene is one of Kidd's biggest fans and regularly records videos of the comedian. He ends up recording Kidd as he disposes of a dead body, giving him access to the celebrity's private life in exchange for his silence. Rossi is best known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy, Luke Cage, and the recent Netflix film Army of the Dead.

Savas is a Greek mobster who works with Carlton and drags the Kid into his dirty dealings. Chris Diamantopoulos is an experienced voice actor who has played lead roles in the Netflix shows Inside Job, Blood of Zeus, and Centaurworld. He has also appeared in the live-action films "Red Notice," "Silicon Valley," and "Made for Love."
