Rihanna shines in a bright orange coat at Sephora, NY
For every street style star, there is Rihanna, the queen of wearing any style. And while she looks good in just about anything, the singer and entrepreneur seems to have a thing for heavy, statement coats. Many years ago, she once went out in a huge heart-shaped red coat by Saint Laurent. More recently, this time she wore an oversized red coat by Balenciaga, this time with no pants, despite the cold New York winter weather.
On January 26, however, Lili donned a pop of orange shearling and a leather coat while shopping at Sephora in New York City. Thanks to her ability to instantly make any outfit look high-fashion, as mentioned above, she styled the coat over camouflage wide-leg pants and glittery pinwheels. Seeing Rihanna in army pants, stilettos, and an orange coat made me want army pants, stilettos, and an orange coat, too.
Keeping with the colorful theme, Rihanna layered a shearling coat over a coordinated orange sweater. The bedazzled heels were from the Gucci x Balenciaga Hacker Project collection, and the city's uneven concrete sidewalks proved no match for Rihanna's abilities.
We mere mortals would have worn such a gorgeous coat on our next date night, but Rihanna wore it for a little outing to her local Sephora. The TikTok post of Fenty Beauty's Rihanna having a Sephora employee shade-match her in the store proved that, yes, finding the perfect foundation shade is an essential step in the makeup routine, and even Rihanna herself is not always sure what color to wear proved that even Rihanna herself doesn't always know what color to wear.
The shocking outfit was the result of Rihanna's organization, the Clara Lionel Foundation (open in new tab), which focuses on women, LGBTQIA+, indigenous, black, people of color, and youth communities and supports climate justice efforts in 18 different groups in the US and the Caribbean with a $15 million It came just hours before the massive Instagram announcement of a $15 million donation. The donation from the Clara Lionel Foundation comes alongside Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey's #StartSmall initiative. Love Rihanna for the outfit inspiration and become her mega-fan thanks to her push for some serious change.
