12 Best Magnet Lashes for Bambi Eyes
I confess: this meant that I had to resort to eyelash lifts and eyelash extensions to create volume. Of course, that was not the best solution: first, eyelash extensions are expensive, and second, repeated applications put a strain on the natural eyelashes (open in new tab). Simply put, false eyelashes on Asian eyelids are hard. It's really difficult. My lashes disappear completely under my eyelids when I blink, and the friction wears away the glue, leaving everything in a sticky clump by the end of the day. So when I saw Magnetic Lashes on my Instagram feed, I was intrigued. These false lashes completely eliminate lash glue and can be worn all day long. For the same price as a cup of coffee." I was skeptical, but intrigued nonetheless.
Magnetic Lashes have magnets, and the included lash liner contains iron oxide, which sticks to your lashes. (Don't worry. It is safe for your eyes. Especially compared to false eyelashes, which often use harsh adhesives.) Simply shake the bottle to distribute the iron oxide to the liner, line the eyelid, and place the lashes on the lid.
Sounds easy enough, but I had my doubts. I decided to try a few versions myself to see if these liners were worth the hype. And what better place to do it than my hometown of Chicago?
When applying the liner, I noticed that the formula was a bit .gloopy' it skipped a lot and definitely did not go on as smoothly as I had hoped. As it got lumpy, I tried to save the mess by applying more and more liner, but that only made the lines thicker. I ended up having to use regular eyeliner to draw over the messy areas.
After drawing the line, I applied two coats according to the instructions. However, the lashes still did not stick well. However, once the lashes were on, they were quite good. The lashes did not come undone at all until I removed them at the end of the day. So, although it took a lot of work, two thumbs up for the longevity of this kit.

First of all, kudos to the lashes. First of all, I would like to give kudos to the lashes, because the day I got them was one of the windiest days I have ever experienced in Chicago. They had to endure blood, sweat, and tears (okay, maybe not blood), and those strips still remained faithfully attached to my eyelids for about 10 hours.
The KISS eyeliner brush is thin and the formula is really pigmented, so the application process was smooth. The lashes adhered to the liner instantly, with five magnets on each strip, and even after trimming them to fit my eyes, they stuck together without any gaps. After a few hours, there were a few areas where the liner got a little crusty, but nothing too noticeable. Additionally, there was definitely no smudging (as the box promises). Overall, highly recommended.

The first thing I noticed about these lashes is that they are very soft. They are made of faux mink, which makes them the fluffiest of the three I tried. Additionally, they are virtually weightless and once I put them on, I could not feel them at all.
The lashes adhered to the liner with no problem, but I have a small problem with the magnet itself: because of the position of the magnet on the lashes, the tips would float a bit, revealing that I was wearing false lashes. But it was an easy fix. I cut the lashes into smaller pieces and put them on one by one, which made them look more natural.
In the wind test, one lash was sacrificed, so I cannot say that Eylure is 100% wind resistant. The beauty of magnetic liners, however, is that if one or two lashes fall out, you don't have to wear a curved strip of falsies all night long. The lashes stick to the magnet, so they can be reapplied as many times as needed, instead of using an adhesive that dries out. Overall, hats off to the quality of the eyeliner and lashes, but it may take a bit of work to apply.

I am impressed! Magnet Lash is definitely the real deal. Application is so easy, the lashes stay on all day, and since there is no lash glue, there is no need to remove the chunks of glue left on the real lashes (or wash the falsies before reusing them).
The liner formula was super long-lasting and the swatch on my hand didn't budge even after a shower. On the flip side, the liner's formula is thicker than the average liquid eyeliner, making it difficult to control and create a perfect line. You need to put a good amount on the innermost and outermost part of the line (remember to keep a cotton swab handy in case you make a mistake). Ultimately, I would choose these three over regular strip lashes. If you have hooded eyelids like me, or if you are a fellow anti-glue gal, shop more of my favorite items below.
