Calzedonia Launches Keith Haring-Inspired Collection
You may have seen Keith Haring's work; in the 1980s, Haring created some of the most recognizable graffiti art in New York City, particularly on the subway. Although today his designs have a reputation for being whimsical, he tackled many timely social issues, including the crack epidemic, the AIDS epidemic, war and peace, sex positivity, and human rights. Although Herring himself was HIV-positive and passed away in 1990 from AIDS-related complications, he left behind an indelible legacy of joy that encouraged people to be compassionate and to live together in peace.
Against this backdrop, Italian-based brand Calzedonia has launched a collection inspired by Keith Haring. Jeans, socks, and tights are emblazoned with Haring's universally recognized artwork. This way, both those who know Haring's art and new fans can celebrate his life and work with clothing. It also helps that this collection is undeniably fun, and is sure to brighten your day the moment you put on these items.
