Copy Alana Heim's 70's style wavy hair at the 2022 Academy Awards!

First of all, have you ever seen "Licorice Pizza"? I saw it twice in two weeks.

But this is not about me, this is about the film's star, Alana Heim. In particular, it's about Alana Heim's beautifully understated Oscar 2022 hairdo.

Luckily, courtesy of celebrity stylist Mara Roszak, I know all about how to copy that look.

"Alana was wearing a custom Louis Vuitton dress that was a little '70s, a little disco, so I wanted to keep the hair '70s, but cool and casual, with a little volume and movement," Rozak says.

ICYMI, "Licorice Pizza" is set in the 1970s, and the whole thing fits. The Vuitton dress in question was a mermaid-like, pearly white scaly pattern, long sleeves, boat neck, nipped-in waist, and full-length scalloped skirt. Dreamey.

Here's a step-by-step from Rosac:

"Before styling, I used Wella Professional's Elements Renewing Shampoo (opens in new tab) and Conditioner (opens in new tab).

"To prep the hair, I began by applying Roz St. Lucia Styling Oil [Roz is Rosac's own hair care line] to Alana's damp hair from the middle to the ends.

"Then I added Wella EIMI Root Shoot Precise Root Mousse [opens in new tab] to add volume to her hair."

"Next, I blow-dried her hair with a round brush, and once it was thoroughly dry, I set it with velcro rollers (opens in new tab).

"Then, I waved the ends with a 1.5-inch curling iron while creating a smooth base using the L'Oreal Professionnel STEAMPOD Flat Iron & Styler (opens in new tab).

"Finally, I used Wella Professionals EIMI Stay Firm Workable Finishing Hairspray (opens in new tab) for a little texture and movement."
