Lupita Nyongo's hairstylist teaches you how to recreate her gorgeous 2022 Academy Awards look

Lupita Nyongo sparkled as she made a spectacular appearance on the red carpet at the 2022 Academy Awards.

Actress Lupita Nyongo, who presented the awards that evening, wore a Prada gold, sequin, and tassel gown embellished with a glittering floral motif.

To complement the gorgeous gown, hairstylist Vernon Francois created an equally beautiful hairstyle for the star.

"The overall look of this hairstyle was partly inspired by African figures in classical Greek art," François explained.

"It's a Sister Rock updo, soft, graceful, and glamorous, inspired by what Lupita wears. Movement is also an important element, to synergize with the tassels on Lupita's dress. The asymmetrical form, carved by hand, echoes the floral pattern of Lupita's dress while elongating the neckline. This is a magnificent, statuesque, imposing piece that captures the essence of the Oscars."
