Kim Kardashian shows off SKIMS underwear strongly in torn jeans

As someone who vividly remembers my childhood in the early 19th century, I think I have a right to hope that some of the most popular trends of the 00s never see the light of day again. Paris Hilton-inspired sparkly mini dresses and velvet tracksuits come to mind, but no trend is more polarizing than Kim Kardashian's latest Instagram revival of overly torn jeans.

Kim Kardashian, after years spent as a minimalist fashion darling, has recently returned to some of the styles of her early days, especially on her Instagram feed; the SKIMS founder has gone from camo-patterned catsuits, to the obvious " Matrix" trilogy, to all-leather outfits inspired by characters from the trilogy, she has been posting photos of herself wearing everything from a camo catsuit to an all-leather outfit inspired by a character from the "Matrix" trilogy. Her latest look, however, is a pair of super torn jeans and a pale pink snake print corset top.

She accessorized this look with nude pointed-toe pumps. Kardashian captioned the photo, "Talk less and say more."

While I appreciate the risk-taking look, I have so many questions. The most important of these is this: what kind of underwear would one choose when wearing jeans that reveal so much skin? The concept of avoiding underwear altogether seems out of the question. Is this attire a massive campaign by SKIMS (opens in new tab)? (opens in new tab)

(Also, does this mean that skinny jeans are back? If so, my straight-leg loving heart can't handle that news)

.

Until we get a definitive answer, I will be sitting here wondering if it's time to pull out her matching torn skinnies. Luckily, the rest of the outfit can easily be copied using items I already own. Corsets are back on trend after the release of the second season of Bridgerton. Nude heels are also a staple in my spring wardrobe, so excuse me if I just say I'm copying the Kardashian's latest look by pairing these two with my usual not-so-thin jeans.
