Netflix "Ultimatum" Cast: Guide

Can an "ultimatum" just end a relationship or save it Less than two months after the surprise trailer drop for the finale of "Love is Blind," Netflix's latest dating show, "The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" (opens in a new tab) opens in a new tab) has arrived.

For those who missed the buzz (or are still unfamiliar with the process), the show follows six longtime couples who are at an impasse. The show tests each relationship by having each couple say goodbye, couple with another cast member for a few weeks, and then return and live together for the same period of time. The show ends with each person deciding whether to get married, break up and be alone, and possibly become a couple with a new person they meet.

The producers of "Love is Blind" decided to find six Austin-based couples and put their relationships on the line. Here's everything we know about the people we'll be falling head over heels in love with over the next few weeks. Spoiler alert

April, 23, a tech recruiter and influencer, wants to marry her boyfriend as soon as possible, while Jake, 26, a Marine Corps veteran, wants to travel and become financially stable before he proposes. April tells Jake on the show, "I just want a ring, and I want a baby with you right now."

The couple split up in the finale when Jake did not propose, and the veteran decided to pursue a relationship with Rae, his test marriage partner. After their reunion, April told POPSUGAR (open in new tab) that she and Jake had been "in and out of each other's lives for months" but broke up because nothing had changed in their relationship. April met someone new and lives with a boyfriend who "talks about marriage as much as [she] does."

She left the show with Rae, but they did not move forward with their relationship, and Jake was single at the time of the reunion. He told the show, "For a while I was just trying to find what I really wanted, what made me happy."

College sweethearts Madeline, 24, and Jake, 25, have been dating for a year and a half, but something is keeping them from moving forward. Jake gives her an ultimatum: "I'm 100 percent committed." Madeline, the project manager, loves Colby, the sales manager, but also says, "I can't believe there is only one person for everyone. I think it's possible to be happy with someone else."

After a tumultuous show in which Madeline is tied to Randall, her test marriage partner, and Colby begins talking to women outside the program, the two are married in the finale after Madeline accepts Colby's marriage proposal. At the reunion, it is revealed that Madeline is pregnant. According to an interview with Vulture (opens in new tab) after the show, the baby is due the last week of April. Madeline states of her pregnancy, "I love every second."

While Rae, an HBCU alumna, is ready to continue her life plan and get married now that she has graduated from college, her boyfriend of two years, club promoter and influencer Zay, is not ready to take the leap. In introducing himself, Zay said, "We dated through college, I graduated, and I have a plan for everything in my life. I go to the gym, I have a degree, I cook, I clean, and I know how to fuck."

After Rae and Zaye had an emotional connection with Jake while they were living together, Rae and Zaye had a huge fight and broke up in episode 8. Zay did not attend the finale, but Rae met Jake that day and the two decided to hook up and received airline tickets to travel anywhere in the world together. At the reunion, the two revealed that they never traveled and never pursued a relationship.

Rae and Zay tried to rekindle their relationship after the finale, but it did not work out, and Rae said she still feels hurt by Zay at the reunion Since their breakup, Zay has remained single and Rae has been seeing one woman. She said in the finale, "I'm exploring myself and my sexuality, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing and what I'm not.

Fashion brand owner (open in new tab) Shanique, 24, and technology analyst Randall, 26, have been dating for a year and a half, and Shanique is ready for a big wedding and a big family. However, Randall said on the show, "I think the best way to make a great life for her is to get rid of the debts she has had in the past. That's ultimately my reason, but she doesn't get it."

Shanique and Randall will connect with their partners, Zay and Madeline, respectively. After living together and discussing their relationship issues, they become engaged in the finale. During their reunion, the two shared that they broke up after the show to reexamine themselves, and Shanique said that the six months that followed were "the hardest time of my life." As of the reunion, the two are back together but have no plans to get married. Says Shanique, "We're taking it one step at a time, and I'm so glad we're not where we were on the show."

Fashion influencer Alexis, 25, is ready to marry her boyfriend of two years, tech executive Hunter, 28, but he only wants to live together. 'I've talked Hunter out of the ultimatum,' Alexis told the show. "I told Hunter that I was ready to take the next step and basically either get engaged or break up. And that's the ring."

.

During the reunion, the couple shared that their wedding is set for June of this year and that they are "very heavy into the planning stages" and Hunter's mother is serving as their wedding planner. They have also begun living together for the first time. 'Living together has been great for us. We can take care of our dog together. And we're close to family. So it's been really nice," Alexis says.

Nate, 30, a real estate executive, and Lauren, 26, a cocktail mixologist (open in new tab), have been together for two and a half years, but they disagree on one important point: Nate wants kids, but Lauren does not. Nate wants a child; Lauren does not. (Lauren has not given permission to share her Instagram, but here is the link (opens in a new tab) so you can check it out for yourself)

.

During their reunion, the two talked about starting therapy after the show, and Lauren said she "sought professional advice" while deciding whether to have children. Nate said he was not "ready" to have children "yet," but Lauren added, "We agree to have children for now.
