Who is Nick Hardy, Vanessa Villella's lover in "Selling the Sunset"?

Love was in the air this season of "Selling Sunset," with several cast members making new connections or taking the next step in their relationships. Former telenovela actress Vanessa Villella, in her second season on the show, introduced her long-distance boyfriend, Nicholas (Nick) Hardy, aka Tom Fraud, a photographer and creative director living in England, with a boyfriend in the round. At the end of the season, after Hardy gave Villella a promise ring in Oppenheim's office before returning home, the realtor was at a crossroads as to whether to move in to be with him.

In the months between the filming of season 5 in late 2021 (open in new tab) and the show's premiere this April, the two became even closer (Hardy's IG profile picture is even a photo he took of Vanessa) What we know about the mystery man with two names As follows.

According to Hardy's website (opens in new tab), Hardy is a former creative director of London's largest photo agency with years of experience. He also showcases his work on his Instagram account, where some of his most recent photos feature Villella.

Villella's rep gave a lengthy description to the Netflix website Tudum (opens in new tab). 'Tom Floud is a play on words, a fictitious name that describes art and freedom. Many artists support this concept and idea, tempting the art world to go against the flow, to dare to create and innovate (and) make their own way," they say. Hardy also uses "fraud" as "a play on words that emphasizes the artist's unrestricted creative freedom."

The photographer and entrepreneur also has experience in the fashion industry. Hardy is the creative director of Lascivious (open in new tab), a British lingerie brand founded in 2004 and making a comeback after several years in November 2021. Villella has also worked with the brand, partnering with them on swimwear collections and modeling for them frequently.

Hardy's Instagram is mostly an archive of his old work as a lingerie photographer. His most recent posts are either vacations with Villella (two months in Mexico, which she mentioned on the show) or posts celebrating their engagement. This week he also shared a new photo shoot with Villella and a loving caption calling her his muse and future wife.

Villella explained on the show that she and Hardy spoke online for three months before meeting in Mexico and had been together for 10 months at the time of the shoot. Hardy upgraded Villella's promise ring to an engagement ring last January and proposed at the Griffith Observatory in LA at sunset. Villella uploaded the moment to her Instagram, calling their love story a "movie" and lovingly captioning it as feeling like he "showed up" because he was the type of partner she had always wanted.

As for whether Villella has moved on, as of April 2022 she is still listed as an agent with the Oppenheim Group. With "Sunset" reportedly being renewed for two more seasons, real estate agents have a big choice to make. Hopefully the reunion will provide some answers.
