Season 4 of "Stranger Things" will see the main characters move from middle school to high school, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas in Hawkins and Eleven and Will in California. At Hawkins High School, viewers are introduced to new characters involved in the latest monster mayhem to come out of the Upside Down. One of them is Chrissy, the head cheerleader and the most popular girl in school, but she is hiding a mysterious secret. [Chrissy is played by Grace Van Dean, who comes to "Stranger Things" with experience from Netflix's cult teen series. The 25-year-old actress grew up on set as the daughter of "Starship Troopers" and "All American" actor Casper Van Dien and "Bold and the Beautiful" actress Carrie Mitchum.In a 2019 People interview, she, said she never planned to be an actor as a child, but her father supported her in whatever she chose.

"He was fine with me not going into the business. I wanted to go to college and be a writer and I didn't want any part of this world. I'm very shy about this world. He said, "If something bad happens, come to him, he'll take care of it. It hasn't happened yet."

Van Dien began acting in several films, including the family film "Army Dog" with her father; she is best known for the Hulu original film "The Binge," the NBC drama "The Village," the Netflix teen series "Greenhouse Academy," for which he is best known. She also played the role of Brooke, the dean's daughter, in Greenhouse, and has appeared in school mystery dramas.
