Holsey's latest eye makeup is a lesson in color blocking
For the ultimate summer makeup tip, leave it to Halsey, the "Without Me" singer took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 21, to share her charming DIY routine." My favorite pre-show ritual." Can't wait for tonight!"
To kick off their routine, the beauty founders whipped up a custom periwinkle color using three of the Matte Fluid Eye Paints: Blue Monday, White Noise, and New Karma. A swipe of each created a gorgeous light purple shade. Then, using a flat brush, I extended the one-of-a-kind tone to the brow bone and outer corner of the eye. If you intend to recreate this look (and we do), just be warned: these pigments dry in just 30 seconds or so, so you're going to have to work quickly.
Once the stunning purple shade was solidified, Halsey reached for the clone, a matte terracotta shade that is the *perfect* contrast to the purple. Using a small brush, she created an upside-down wing at the lower lash line. You don't need to be a pro to create this look. It would be blended and buffed out anyway. To finish this eye look, Halsey drew Line Artist eyeliner to the waterline, applied mascara, and casually placed two eye gems at the corners of the eyes.
For the rest of the look, they opted for a nude borderline brown lip made with Matte Fix Lip Pencil (Smoking Room, a deep chestnut color) and Paint It Matte Lip Color (Nudist Judith).
Halsey has been sharing tons of makeup inspiration and color combos lately, as her line just made its grand debut at Ulta this week. I've always wanted to create products that encourage self-expression without being bound by what beauty "should" look like. I'm so proud to partner with @ultabeauty, which celebrates that kind of individuality," they captioned a previous Instagram post." Can't wait to bring this wildly colorful + high performance product to more people. #ultabeauty" [9]
