Rizzo has now more than mastered the art of getting noticed, and his recent appearance at the BET Awards proved it a hundredfold (well, threefold to be exact, but more on that later).

The superstar singer performed her hit song "About Damn Time" at the awards show. You'll believe me when I tell you that it was an iconic moment in fashion history.

Rizzo's half up, half down curly hair was styled by Shelby Swain:

"Rizzo's hair was pre-treated with 'Dove Hair Therapy 7 in 1 Miracle Mist' (open in new tab) and then treated with 'Dove Hair Therapy Brilliant Gloss & Repair Serum' (open in new tab) from the middle to the ends, then blow dried smooth," Swain explained.

"I curled one-inch sections using a two-prong wand to create two different textures and used Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo (opens in new tab) to give the look additional volume and fluff.

"To finish, a little Dove Amplified Textures Shine & Moisture Finishing Gel (opens in new tab) was run through the fingers to detail and Dove Hair Therapy Brilliant Gloss & Repair (opens in new tab) (open in new tab) on the ends of the hair to add shine"

Posting the performance on Instagram, Rizzo wrote simply, "Thanks @betawards."

Rizzo also showcased two other great looks from the evening. For Rizzo's BET Awards look, she wanted to create a fun, out-of-the-box look inspired by finger waves and mullets.

She wore an iridescent black gown with feather embellishments, reminiscent of Mariah Carey and Liza Minnelli's red carpet looks.

To complement the outfit, makeup artist Alex Mayo used products from Charlotte Tilbury to add a playful touch. He told Marie Claire, "When I first saw the Gucci dress Rizzo wore, I was immediately drawn to the lingerie bodysuit underneath." [And I was inspired by the delicate lace with blue reflections. While watching the show with her mother and brother, Rizzo looked beautiful in a glittery multi-colored gown.
