Please take a moment of silence to admire Natalie Portman's flower crown!
Natalie Portman never disappoints on the red carpet. The 41-year-old actress wore a red mini-dress by Christian Dior to the London premiere of "Thor: Love and Thunder," a film that was a big hit with the audience. But it was her good looks that elevated the entire ensemble.
Her longtime hairstylist, Mara Roszak, combined fresh peonies, mini red roses, and buttercups to create an absolutely gorgeous flower crown that was placed atop the actress' braided bun. 'I wanted it to be quite large and bold,' she said. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo and 18th century paintings," Rosac told Marie Claire. To achieve the look, she "pulled my hair back into a bun shape and created two long braids. Wella Professionals EIMI Pearl Styler Styling Gel (open in new tab) was key to taming and smoothing the ends, while Wella Professionals EIMI Glam Mist Shine Spray (open in new tab) was essential for shine.
Add to the mix a smokey eye and bright red lipstick (all Dior, of course), and Portman looked flawless. Not a hair out of place, not a single eyelash curled, not a single eyebrow unkempt, not a speck of dirt in sight. Because of her perfection, the Academy Award winner took to Instagram to give a shout out to her amazing Glam team.
"Thank you to my amazing team for bringing this look to life at the UK premiere! she captioned, tagging Rozak, makeup artist Lisa Story, and stylist Ryan Hastings.
With such attention-grabbing glamour, it is no surprise that social media users wasted no time in expressing their obsession. Some even noted that the entire look oozed a black swan vibe. One user commented on Rozak's Instagram post, saying. Another said, "It literally looks like a painting."
While Black Swan may have been unintentional, Portman had blatantly played up another fan favorite earlier in the day with his costume. At the Thor stage appearance, Portman and co-star Tessa Thompson were dressed as Cher Horowitz and Dionne Davenport from Clueless. The Israeli-born actress wore a yellow plaid suit reminiscent of the Dolce & Gabbana two-piece set worn by Alicia Silverstone in the 1995 film. Thompson looked equally gorgeous in a black skirt, vest, and white button-down.
