Kate Middleton wears a dress by royal designer Emilia Wickstead to Prince William's polo match
Kate Middleton has her favorite designers: Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, Catherine Walker and Emilia Wickstead.
For her latest public appearance, supporting her husband Prince William in a charity polo competition, the Duchess of Cambridge chose the latter's beautiful dress.
The dress was a simple sleeveless white dress with a cinched waist, an A-line skirt that extended to the Duchess' calves, and discreet black detailing. According to the Daily Mail, that exact model is sold out, but you can purchase a piece in the same spirit below.
The Duchess paired this lovely dress with tortoiseshell sunglasses by Finlay, brown hoop earrings by French label Sézane, and a two-tone pearl-embellished slingback by Camilla Elphick.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a turquoise dress by Emilia Wickstead for her recent Caribbean royal tour in the Bahamas, an elegant blue dress to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2020, a Wimbledon in 2019, a short-sleeved blue dress, a tartan check skirt around Christmas 2018, a lavender dress for an engagement earlier that year, and many other occasions.
Interestingly, her sister-in-law (ok, technically her husband's sister-in-law, but why no such term?) Meghan Markle was also a close friend of Emilia Wickstead, and wore a grass green dress by the designer, especially at one of her last official functions. The Duchess of Sussex has also been spotted wearing Finlay Henrietta sunglasses in the past.
Thus, despite their current disagreements, it is clear that the two duchesses share much in common.
