Kate Middleton's glittering ball gown from her recent royal tour is finally available for purchase.
It is often said that when Kate Middleton wears an off-the-rack outfit, it basically sells out immediately. But does this also apply to $5,000 ball gowns?
The Duchess of Cambridge's stunning Jenny Packham ballgown, which she and Prince William wore on their recent Caribbean tour in Jamaica, is finally available online.
It's hard to forget the dress in question: it was emerald green, off-the-shoulder, with a tight bodice, fuller and sequin embellished, and an A-line skirt. The Duchess wore the dress to an official dinner hosted by the Governor General of Jamaica, Patrick Allen.
Now if you are looking for a ball gown and have $5,414 to spare in your pocket, you can get the dress worn by the Duchess.
The Duchess's fashion choices, no matter how expensive, were never out of place, but the Caribbean tour itself was fraught with controversy.
The three countries the Cambridges visited (Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas) were met with protest after protest, and all three have since requested to leave the Commonwealth, citing its historical ties to slavery and racism.
"We are aware that this tour has sharpened questions about the past and the future. In Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, its future is for the people to decide," Prince William said in a statement after the trip.
