Less than a year after being officially recognized on Instagram, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are married.

This may seem like a short timeline, but one must remember that the two first began dating in 2002, a whopping 20 years ago. They became engaged the same year, their 2003 wedding was postponed due to overwhelming media attention, and they broke up in 2004.

Lopez married Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins Max and Emme, and Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he had Violet, Samuel, and Serafina.

But after 17 years apart, the two reunited in 2021 after Lopez's split from Alex Rodriguez, became engaged in April 2022, and finally tied the knot in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony.

The singer, actress, and entrepreneur shared the happy news in her newsletter, "On The JLo," beginning, "We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And love is patient; patient for 20 years. I love the humor in the expression!

Regarding the ceremony, Lopez continued Last night we flew to Las Vegas to join four other couples in the license line.

Elvis, sadly, was unable to witness the celebration: "We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open a few minutes late and let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible that once belonged to the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to come, it would have cost extra and he was in bed)," Lopez added.

Starr concluded, "They were right when they said, 'All you need is love. We are so grateful to have a new, wonderful family of five amazing children and a life we couldn't be more excited about," he concluded.

She signed her name "Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck" and hinted that she would take her new husband's name - does that mean she will no longer be Jennifer Lopez, but J.Lo? It's going to take a while for her to get over that habit.
