His Royal Highness Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. William has many titles. But one of his favorites would be "Pops."

Prince George, William's oldest son, who just turned 9 last week, apparently calls him that, according to PEOPLE magazine. (William is also the father of Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.) As of 2018, though, William's wife, Kate Middleton, told reporters that George, then around 5, called his father by a casual nickname and likely calls Charlotte and Louis that as well, George was the only one who specifically mentioned the use of nicknames.

According to Fiona Sturgess, who was in the audience, during a visit to Leicester four years ago, "Kate said that last night William was playing soccer with the kids and one of them, I think it was George, said, 'Are you playing soccer again tomorrow, uncle?'

PEOPLE reports that William and George are not only very similar, but also have a close bond. William, second in line to the throne, is already teaching George, third in line, about royal life and preparing him to one day become king himself, the magazine writes. George also pays tribute to one of his dad's favorite charities. Recently, Charlie Mayhew, chief executive of the charity Tusk (of which William is a longtime supporter), which works to protect endangered species in Africa, broke the news that George held a cake sale to raise funds for the organization during his COVID-19 captivity, according to PEOPLE magazine. William has been a Royal Patron of Tusk since 2005 as part of his environmental work.

"George has also inherited many interests and hobbies from his father," the magazine wrote. Like Prince William, Prince George is a big soccer fan, and last summer he attended the Euro 2020 tournament with his parents, looking very grown-up in a suit and tie." (He wore the same outfit to Wimbledon this month. Wimbledon is another sporting event my parents love and regularly attend.) William and George also love aviation, especially helicopters, and William is a former head of a search and rescue team in the Royal Air Force, which George has long been fascinated by.

Charlotte likes to call her father "Papa," which was revealed in a letter from young Charlotte to her "grandma," Princess Diana, published in honor of British Mother's Day 2021. In the letter, Charlotte writes wistfully, "Daddy misses you."
