Halsey's Latest Hairstyle is an Ode to '50s Glam
We could go on forever about why we love Halsey. Their music, their makeup line, and most notably, their love of the beauty look. Never in a million years would they shy away from experimental looks like wild eye shadows and unexpected hair colors. Their latest beauty adventure? This past weekend, the "Without Me" singer decided to take it back to the 50s with tight, tousled curls reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe. Catch's style was dyed a fiery orange-red instead of platinum blonde.
"Red moment like Marilyn Monroe," the mom of one captioned her Instagram post. While their hair was certainly the center of attention (oh my!) ), their makeup, a combo of about-face and af94, was also an ode to decades past. Their lashes were fluttery, their lips were expertly overlined, and their eyeshadow was unmistakably Monroe-inspired white shadow. Of course, the fans were enthralled with the look and wasted no time in sharing their thoughts. One wrote, "Red Sea is back, baby," referring to Halsey dying her hair red in November 2019. Another said, "OMG I love this look on you," while another wrote, "YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL I LOVE YOU QUEEN."
We're big on this 'do, but we're not sure how long it will last. Halsey has changed her hairstyle several times this summer. Just a few weeks ago, she shocked her 30.2 million fans by debuting the mullet." The return of my mullet. And a red and blue makeup combo made with a mix of eye paint and lip paint, just for 90s vibes."
they captioned an Instagram post of the shaggy chop.
Between the 50s curls and the 90s-inspired mullets, Halsey seems to be checking a few decades off their list. Which era will be next is yet to be determined, but it's certainly one we'll be keeping an eye on.
